Getting Ready
Marissa and Tom both got ready at their respective parents’ homes, surrounded by family and close friends. These early moments of the day are always some of the most meaningful—filled with anticipation, excitement, and genuine emotion.
There’s a calmness during this part of the day that allows for natural storytelling. Small moments, quiet interactions, and subtle details often become some of the most important images in a wedding gallery.

Ceremony in Staten Island
The ceremony took place at a beautiful church in Staten Island, where Marissa and Tom exchanged vows surrounded by their family and friends. The atmosphere was classic and timeless, with every moment carrying real meaning.

Portraits at Park Chateau
After the ceremony, we headed to Park Chateau for portraits and the reception. The estate offers an incredible setting, with elegant architecture and beautifully maintained grounds that create the perfect backdrop for wedding photography.For Marissa and Tom’s portraits, I used a combination of natural light and creative lighting techniques to create a variety of images. Natural light provided a soft, timeless feel, while off-camera lighting allowed for more dramatic and artistic portraits. A Park Chateau wedding always provides opportunities to create images that feel both candid and refined. The variety of locations on the property makes it easy to capture a full range of moments without taking too much time away from the celebration.
A Natural, Guided Approach
Throughout the portrait session, the goal was to keep everything relaxed and natural. Most couples don’t feel completely comfortable in front of a camera, and that’s completely normal. Instead of heavy posing, I guide couples just enough to help them feel confident, allowing real moments to happen naturally. This approach creates images that feel authentic while still looking polished and intentional.
Reception at Park Chateau
As the evening began, the ballroom at Park Chateau set the stage for an incredible reception. The atmosphere was elegant, but the energy quickly built as the night went on. For the formal dances—including the first dance and parent dances—I worked with my lighting assistant to create a more dramatic look. By carefully shaping the light, we were able to highlight the couple while preserving the ambiance of the room. These moments are some of the most important parts of the reception, and thoughtful lighting helps elevate them into something memorable.
