NJ Proposal Photographers | A Proposal Done Right

When Brittany from The Perfect Proposal reached out to me to photograph John and Maria’s proposal, I learned something new. I never knew this was a thing. I figured every proposal was just done on the down low without any planning. As an NJ wedding photographer , I have photographed numerous proposals in the past. Many times, the bride to be has no idea she is about to be photographed. SO…what happens is I get a girl who doesn’t like the way her hair and make up look in pictures LOL.

Well…this is where Brittany and her team come in. Now the setups can be quite extravagant but also revealing. I imagine the surprise element diminishes in most scenarious, but man does it make for good photos. This proposal was no exception. Luckily for me, John’s home is stunning. The backyard is right out of a resort. I can say the proposal went off without a hitch. As one of the top NJ proposal photographers , I actually have never photographed a proposal this stunning.  I do recall the time I photographed a surprise proposal on a yacht on the Navesink with a sunset in the backyard…so yeah that was pretty bad ass.  This proposal is right up there to be honest, even without the surprise element.  John proposed, she said yes, and the photography commenced. We spent some time photographing in his backyard, then a we took the liberty of taking a few shots in the home. We capped off the evening with a night shot in the same back yard.

John and Maria were really amazing to work with. We lucked out with Mother Nature cooperating as well. I am grateful Brittany asked me to document this special evening for John and Maria. I hope everyone enjoys the photos!
