Sandy Hook Engagement Photos: Erin & Edward’s Sunset Session
On a perfect Saturday evening, I had the pleasure of capturing Erin and Edward’s engagement photos at Sandy Hook beach in New Jersey. As a wedding photographer, moments like these remind me why I love what I do — the golden light, the genuine laughter, and the simple magic of two people in love.
We met at Sandy Hook just before sunset, when the light begins to soften and cast a warm, romantic glow across the dunes and boardwalks. Erin and Edward arrived hand-in-hand, full of excitement and energy, ready to soak in every second of their session. The weather couldn’t have been more cooperative — clear skies, a soft breeze off the ocean, and a glowing sun slowly dipping toward the horizon.
Their chemistry was effortless. Whether they were walking barefoot in the sand, wrapped in each other’s arms by the shoreline, or laughing together on the boardwalk, it was easy to see the love they share. I always aim to tell a couple’s story through a cinematic and journalistic lens, and Erin and Edward made that effortless. Their connection, smiles, and subtle glances at each other translated beautifully through my lens.
One of my favorite moments was when they stood at the water’s edge, silhouetted by the setting sun. The sky turned soft shades of pink, orange, and gold — a breathtaking backdrop that perfectly mirrored the warmth of their relationship. These kinds of organic, unscripted moments are what make an engagement session truly unforgettable.
As the owner and lead photographer of Delgado Studios, I’ve had the honor of photographing couples all over New Jersey, but Sandy Hook continues to be one of my favorite locations. The combination of ocean, dunes, and historic charm offers so much variety and natural beauty. Erin and Edward’s shoot is a perfect example of how magical this spot can be.
At Delgado Studios, I specialize in cinematic and journalistic wedding photography — meaning I don’t just take photos, I craft stories through light, emotion, and composition. Erin and Edward’s engagement session was a beautiful chapter in their love story, and I’m so honored to have been part of it.
If you’re looking for Sandy Hook engagement photos that feel authentic and timeless, I’d love to help you tell your story.
