Freehold Wedding Photographers
This was my last wedding of the season, and no better couple for that than Jillian and Chris. Being Freehold Wedding Photographers means I sometimes get to photograph weddings close to home. As a Freehold wedding photographers, this is not a bad thing. On this day, the weather was a bit chilly, especially for the ladies.Jillian got ready at her mother's home while Chris got ready at their home. We then headed to a nearby church for the ceremony which was short and sweet. Afterwards we headed to the South Gate Manor in Freehold for some portraits and the reception where the SCE Event Group had the party going all night long! As Freehold Wedding Photographers, this venue is perfect. Now for more on the newly weds, here is a blurb from the bride:
"So I wish this was more romantic -- but we met on Match.com haha. I actually almost drove away from the restaurant prior to our first date because some very unattractive man was standing outside in a Hawaiian print shirt and I thought that it was Chris, assuming he must have lied about his pictures. The guy finally left so I went inside, and Chris was sitting at the bar (PHEW!). Instead of flowers, he brought me a Rita's giftcard because he knew my college nickname was Mango Gelati (a long, inappropriate story that he didn't know at the time). It was still one of the best dates we ever had.
As for the proposal -- Chris proposed in New Hope (a favorite place of ours) on July 3rd, 2015. He planned a big proposal for the fireworks (I always tease him that he needs to channel his inner McDreamy, so he tried), but as soon as we checked into the bed & breakfast, we found out the fireworks were cancelled. He was MISERABLE the entire night, and was frantically trying to figure out when/where/how to pop the question. Eventually he did while we were sitting on a park bench, and while we were exchanging 'I love you's' -- a band at a bar around the corner drowned us out with a rendition of "God Bless America." Still cracks us up.
Wedding planning was uneventful haha -- we are both SUPER decisive and we had ZERO bumps in the road. In traditional Italian fashion, my parents did most of the leg work for us since I am finishing my doctorate and Chris had shoulder surgery in June. Taking the pressure off us also allowed us to focus on house hunting -- we closed last Friday! "
