Hotel Du Village Wedding
A Hotel Du Village Wedding is always amazing to photograph, but when the couple is as amazing as Susan and Stephanie, ever more so. This Hotel Du Village wedding was a bit different from the norm for me. Reason being, there was no bride prep or ceremony to photograph. These amazing ladies had that taken care of before showing up! It was all portraits and celebrations from the get go. A classic Hotel Du Village wedding lends itself to beautiful photos with all of the gorgeous environmental backdrops and rustic tones. From cornfields to greenery, this has it all. The party itself was amazing. As an NJ Wedding Photographer, I love photographing New Hope Weddings! Susan and Stephanie are not the kind of gals that hold back, they know how to have a good time. For more on these two, here is a blurb from the brides!
“One Sunday in the Spring of 2010 I had two options: make bean soup or go to a tea dance at the Nevermore in New Hope PA. Standing in the driveway chatting with my neighbor and perseverating, my neighbor finally said, “Oh, just go , you’ll have a good time. . .”
It was Love at first dance. Stephanie and I saw each other across the room as the DJ played, “Stop In the Name of Love”. We talked in the lobby and discovered a shared interest in yoga and food.
Our “first date” was a three hour walk along the towpath followed by gin and tonics at The Boathouse.
A year later, on a trip to California, as walked through Carmel, found the “perfect ring” and Stephanie got down on one knee in the patio courtyard and proposed.
In planning our wedding, we wanted the best of both worlds—a small intimate ceremony and a big kick-ass party! We got our wish. On July 7th we took our vows at St. Phillips Chapel in New Hope and on September 29th we celebrated with family and friends at Hotel du Village with cocktails, yacht rock and dancing the night away in our “Let it Rain Champagne” Themed t-shirts and gold lame dancing shoes.”
Thank you for the amazing insight ladies! Enjoy the wedding photos!
