Collin and Ashley's wedding was as beautiful as you can expect a Neshanic Valley Golf Course wedding to be. ON this day, the weather was beautiful and the bride and groom were ready party. Ashley got ready at a nearby hotel while Collin got ready at their own home in Somerset. The ceremony took place at a nearby church. The entire day was full of emotion and wonderful moments. I can only hope every Neshanic Valley Golf Course Wedding I photograph is similar to this one. We took photos on the golf course by an old barn which made for some awesome photos. The reception was amazing as well. For more on these two, here is a blurb from Ashley:

How we met: We met randomly one night while out with a group of mutual friends in October 2012. Ashley almost didn’t go out but decided “why not?” at the last minute. We spoke a bit throughout the night, but not so much for Collin to feel comfortable enough to ask for Ashley’s number. Instead, he turned to multiple Facebook searches in the following weeks, but he had little luck finding her. It wasn’t until right before New Year’s Eve a few months later, when a mutual acquaintance had the idea to set us up. We had our first date on January 5, 2013. Collin planned drinks, dinner, and coffee in Princeton. It was great! The rest, as they say, is history!

Proposal: Collin proposed on October 18, 2014 – almost two years to the day of our first meeting - on a small, forest walking trail at Terhune Farms in Princeton. We both agreed not to have a huge crowd of spectators around when Collin proposed, so when he popped the question, it was just the two of us. We love being outdoors, especially during the fall! Ashley couldn’t have asked for a more perfect proposal. Autumn, nature, and peaceful outdoor spots continue to have special meaning for us, so we knew from the start that we wanted to have an autumn wedding.

Planning: We knew we wanted a simple but classic celebration. We chose November for its great weather. It also always seems to boast the most beautiful, deep, autumn colors outdoors. It was important for Ashley to marry at Immaculate Conception Church, as her parents were married there and she had grown up going to church there. Ashley had grown up visiting family in the area, and both of us have always admired the peacefulness of the grounds. Collin also fell in love with Neshanic from the start, and it’s become one of his favorite golf courses. We love the beauty of the mountains and farmland that surround the golf course.

We wanted our ceremony and reception to be as much about our family and friends as it was about us, and we were elated to be able to share such a special day with them all. All we cared about was laughing and having fun! We selected big band music to be played throughout our cocktail hour as a nod to our late grandparents who grew up in the 1930s and 1940s. Irish music played as a nod to the strong Irish ancestry that runs through both of our families. Ashley wore her maternal grandmother’s wedding diamond in her necklace, and pinned her paternal grandmother’s birthstone ring to her bouquet. Our wedding day was everything we love and had envisioned from the start of our planning process. We are so happy that everyone we love was included in our day. It was truly the best day ever.
