Philly Wedding Photographers | Cescaphe Ballroom Wedding
Katherine and Thomas got married in Philly...thats it. Not even close. As one of the Top wedding photographers in Philadelphia, it's important to tell a story of the day with my camera. This day featured many stories to tell. The both of them got ready at beautiful hotels right in the city, walking distance to Washington square park which is where we headed for portraits. After the portraits, we headed to this beautiful St George Greek Orthodox Cathedral for their Greek Orthodox ceremony which are aways fun to photograph. Finally we ended up at the luxurious Cescaphe Ballroom for their reception. This wedding was one that featured many firsts for me...such as a bird pooping on the groom during portraits and a power outage at the venue during cocktail hour. Did Katherine freak out? Of course not ;). Luckily the power came back on and the entire reception was non stop partying. Now for a little background on these two and their wedding planning, here is blurb from Katherine:
"We met while attending college at Penn State in 2008. Tom was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha and Katherine was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha. The fraternity and sorority team up each year as partners to fund raise and participate in the Penn State Dance Marathon which benefits pediatric cancer research. We were partnered on 3 out of 4 canning trips that year that we first met. After sharing many of the same friends and attending the same parties, Katherine was drawn to Tom’s slick dance moves from day one. We began dating in 2008 and stayed together through Tom's graduation and departure from Happy Valley in 2009 and Katherine’s graduation and move to Charlotte in 2011. Tom eventually joined Katherine in Charlotte where we made an amazing group of friends and lived until our big return to Pennsylvania in 2015.
Starting our new life in Philadelphia was timed perfectly with tom’s engagement which, of course, happened at Penn State. After many, many spreadsheets, calls to moms and various family members, we ended up with the wedding we had always dreamed of—in our new hometown, great food, amazing music, lots of dancing, and surrounded by our wonderful family and friends!"
Thank you for the wonderful insight Katherine! Also special thanks to my wonderful second shooter David Kristofer. As New Jersey’s top wedding photographers, we hope everyone enjoys the photos!
