This past Tuesday, I had the honor of photographing one of the most heartfelt proposals I’ve ever witnessed at Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown, NJ.

The setting was perfect. Spring was in full bloom, and the gardens were alive with color and fragrance. The golden hour light filtered through the trees, casting a dreamy glow over the scene. Scott, the groom-to-be, had planned everything down to the last detail. He told me he was about to propose to Gabriella, his high school sweetheart, and wanted the moment to be a complete surprise.

Gabriella had no idea what was coming. As the couple strolled down towards the rose garden, Scott dropped to one knee. The look on Gabriella’s face said it all—complete shock, joy, and love. And of course, she said yes.

I worked closely with Scott before the big day to plan the perfect timing, location, and lighting to ensure that the proposal felt natural while still being beautifully photographed.
