I've been looking forward to photographing Lynn and Ben's wedding for a long time now. Ever since I photographed their engagement session in Hoboken last year, we immediately hit it off. Both of them are easy going and fun loving, two traits that make for a wonderful couple to photograph. We started out at Lynn's parents house which is only a few miles from where I live. Lynn and a few of her bridesmaids all grew up on that same block, very cool. The ceremony took place only a few minutes away at St. Clement church in Matawan, NJ. After the ceremony we headed to Holmdel Park for the portraits. While it was a hot day, the moment we arrive at the park....things changed. It's like god turned on the AC. The sun hid behind the clouds and we had a wonderful breeze! The weather was amazing. Having over an hour for the photos allowed us to take all of the bridal party photos then spend a good 40 minutes with Lynn and Ben. This meant I had time to break out some big lights! One thing that I LOVE to do is create big epic portraits, and that's exactly what we did. After some fun in the park, we then headed to Oyster Point Hotel where the reception took place. I managed to sneak in a few more bridal portraits for Lynn...we can never have enough of those! Now their reception was amazing. Lots of heart felt moments, crazy dancing and even a few evening portraits to cap off what was an incredible day.Lynn and Ben were amazing to work with, as were their friends and family. Being a Red Bank Wedding Photographer, there are very few weddings I can think of where EVERYTHING goes well...and this was one of them. Lynn and Ben, congratulations once again! Enjoy the photos!
