Being one of the top sweet 16 photographers in New Jersey means I have the opportunity to photograph the most elaborate sweet 16 parties in New Jersey.   Well, this sweet 16 was no different.  For starters, it took place at the beautiful Bella Vista Country club in Marlboro, NJ.  This venue is killer.  If I ever get to photograph a wedding here, I will be happy. 

Now my sweet 16 images can only be as good as my clients allow them to be.  Alexa was simply wonderful to work with.  Her court and her family were also very easy going.  The event was loaded with beautiful details as well as great music.  Now we did encounter some challenges at first.  When we arrived onsite, the rain was coming down pretty hard.  Well as luck would have it, the rain cleared up for just enough time for us to get some beautiful outdoor images with Alexa as well as her family.  Sometimes it’s better to be lucky then good.  I love incorporating some off camera lighting in order to create dramatic images, and show off the grounds a bit.  I also wanted to make sure I captured her personality as best I could.

Once the portraits were done, we had a blast photographing the party.  The dancefloor was as lively as I’ve ever seen at a sweet 16.  This could be because of the music, but also the massive sugar rush as there was no lack of delicious sweet treats at this event!  I can honestly say that the Bella Vista Country Club is a fantastic venue for a sweet 16 or a wedding for that matter.  As one of the premier sweet 16 photographers in New Jersey, the venue can make the photography experience much better.
