This wedding at the Madison in Riverside NJ was one for the ages.  Cassandra got ready at her parent's home and we then headed to church for the beautiful ceremony.  Cassie and Chris decided Lawrenceville prep school was the perfect spot for their wedding photos and I agree.  After some portrait time we headed to the Madison where they had one heck of  a party.  I asked Cassandra for a quick blurb about the two of them and their wedding.  Here you go!"I met Chris through my best friend Ariana. At the time, Ariana was dating Chris’s best friend, Adam. Chris asked Ariana numerous times about me, inquiring if I would go on a date with him. I always dismissed the idea thinking that I did not want to date anyone at the time. I was attending school and was concentrating on getting my teaching degree and graduating. After several attempts by Chris to go out on a date with me, I finally decided to give in and go on one date. After all, he was kind of cute! Unexpectedly, and to my surprise, I ended up having a great time and I enjoyed being with him. We continued to go on dates; trips to the beach, to the movies and out to dinner. We always had a good time and made each other laugh -- we really connected! After dating for 3 ½ years we purchased a dog together. We talked about getting married but nothing serious was ever decided. That is, until he totally surprised me by proposing at a weekend getaway to the beach! We immediately began our wedding planning.Wedding planning was fun and exciting….but stressful at times! The easy part was that we both wanted to get married in the church. However, finding the perfect – and unique - venue was not so easy.   After visiting numerous venues along the Jersey shore, I immediately knew my likes and dislikes. We thought we wanted a romantic beach wedding – get married on the beach followed by a reception at one of the shore venues.   Our Friday night beach wedding dream quickly faded when we realized that a wedding on Friday night in August at the beach wasn’t practical. We quickly changed our venue plan and searched for something closer to home, a place that would be unique and different that would “fit” us. We continued to search several venues and finally “found” The Madison. After stepping into the trellis at The Madison in Riverside, NJ we knew instantly that this was the place we wanted to celebrate our marriage. We both loved that The Madison is not your typical “wedding ballroom”. It is distinctive yet classy with the huge outdoor and indoor fireplaces, beautiful stone walls and the wall waterfalls. It was available for our Aug 8 wedding date and booked it immediately. We were not disappointed by our choice and have recommended it to several friends.Searching on line and utilizing Pinterest was a huge help with our wedding planning. We both knew that we wanted a “rustic” themed wedding. Choosing a theme made planning so much easier when communicating with the florist, the cake decorator and venue wedding planner. I created a lot of do-it-yourself decorations and “special touches” that were used throughout the venue. My mom, sisters and bridesmaids also were a huge help in my wedding planning. In the end, it turned out to be fun and less stressful than I had anticipated. My favorite part of the day was to see all of our hard work and the years-worth of planning come to fruition. It was exciting to see the church and The Madison look so stunning. Sadly though, the day went by way too fast! I wish I could replay the day all over again!"Cassie and Chris seemed to love their wedding at the Madison in Riverside NJ.   Also special thanks to my second shooter Marianne Bley!   I hope everyone enjoys the photos.  I hope everyone enjoyed this awesome wedding at the Madison in Riverside NJ by NJ Documentary and fine art wedding photographer Delgado Studios..  We specialize in journalistic wedding photography in New Jersey, New York City and PA.
