Photographing Indian weddings are very different than typical american weddings.  For one, they last for days!  This was my first Indian wedding and I'm happy to say it was all I could have hoped for.  It was so much fun, I decided to spread their wedding across three different blog posts.  I feel one won't do it justice!  Weddings at the Mandarin Oriental NYC are simply amazing.  The venue is top of the line, as is the staff and my goodness, the views are incredible!  I even found a way to get Columbus Circle in the background and avoid any reflections off the glass.  My favorite image of the night!  Sonia and Rav are an incredibly sweet couple and were very easy to work with.   We started out by taking a stroll across the street to this little park called Central Park.  After snapping off a few images we headed back to the venue where the party commenced.  Let me tell you, the one glaring difference I saw in this wedding was that everybody dances their butts off!  I had such a blast photographing this reception!  They even hired Mystic India to perform, which is kind of a big deal :).  Also another obvious difference is that all of the guests want to be photographed.  Forget visiting tables to get images of the couples, they came to me!   Oh, last but definitely not least, Sonia is actually one very talented bride!  She can sing and play the guitar..which she decided to sing a beautiful song to her groom to be during the reception as you will see below.  Enjoy the photos everyone!  Enjoy this Indian wedding at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC Wedding Photographer Delgado Studios.  We are Documentary and Fine art Wedding Photographers based out of New Jersey.  Currently we are photographing Indian weddings in NYC, NJ and PA.  We are also available for destination Indian weddings across the globe.
