Beach Maternity Photos | Daniel and Tobi

As the founder and lead photographer of Delgado Studios, I’ve had the honor of capturing many important chapters in people’s lives—but few sessions are as serene and heartfelt as a beach maternity photography session. This past week, I had the privilege of photographing Daniel and Tobi during a beautiful evening at Sandy Hook Beach, and it was nothing short of magical.

The light that evening was absolutely perfect—soft and golden, with the sun slowly dipping toward the horizon and a light breeze coming off the water. Sandy Hook is one of my favorite spots for maternity photos, especially for couples who want to blend natural beauty with genuine connection. Daniel and Tobi were glowing—Tobi quite literally. She radiated with that peaceful joy and anticipation that only comes during the final stretch of pregnancy.

One of the things I love most about taking beach maternity photos is how calm and freeing the atmosphere can be. There are no walls or distractions—just open skies, warm sand, and gentle waves that mirror the rhythm of new life. We started the session with some candid walking shots along the shoreline, then moved into some quiet, intimate moments where Daniel rested his hand on Tobi’s belly as they watched the tide roll in.

Throughout the evening, I encouraged them to simply be in the moment. Whether it was laughing together, holding hands, or just pausing to take it all in, every frame reflected the deep love and excitement they feel as they prepare to welcome their baby.

As someone who specializes in documenting personal milestones, I believe taking beach maternity photos is more than just pretty images—it’s about preserving a memory that only happens once in your lifetime. These images will be something Daniel and Tobi can share with their child someday, a way of showing how much love was there before they were even born.
