Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing Mike and Erin’s engagement session on a beautiful summer evening at one of my favorite locations — Thompson Park in Lincroft, NJ. The light was soft, the breeze gentle, and the chemistry between these two was effortless. Their laughter echoed through the open fields, and their quiet moments spoke volumes — the kind of love that makes being behind the camera a complete joy.
We chose Thompson Park not only for its natural beauty, but also because it offers a variety of backdrops in one place. From winding wooded paths to open meadows and quiet lakeside spots, it’s an ideal setting for creating romantic and timeless images. Their engagement photos at Thompson Park captured the essence of who they are as a couple — fun-loving, deeply connected, and totally in sync.
Mike and Erin were a dream to photograph. You could tell how much they adore each other just by the way they looked at one another. Whether it was a quiet moment sitting under a tree, or laughing in the golden hour light, their energy never faded. Sessions like these are a reminder of why I do what I do. It’s more than just taking photos — it’s about telling a story. And their story is only just beginning.
They’re tying the knot this fall, and after seeing how natural they are in front of the camera, I know their wedding day is going to be nothing short of amazing. I’m honored they chose me to document this exciting time in their lives. The engagement photos at Thompson Park were just the beginning of what I know will be a beautiful journey for them both.
One of my favorite moments from the shoot happened right as the sun was dipping behind the trees. Erin leaned into Mike with the softest smile, and he instinctively wrapped her in his arms. That moment, completely unposed, captured everything that makes their relationship special. It’s those in-between moments that tell the real story — and those are the moments I live to capture.
