Family Photos at Deep Cut Gardens
As the founder and lead photographer at Delgado Studios, one of my favorite parts of this job is getting to capture families as they grow and create memories together. This August, I had the pleasure of photographing the Graziano family at Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown, NJ. It was a cloudy afternoon, but the overcast skies gave us soft, even light that made the garden’s colors pop beautifully—an ideal setting for Family Photos at Deep Cut Gardens.
The Grazianos were such a joy to photograph. Their family is made up of three wonderful kids: a two-year-old little boy with endless curiosity and energy, and his two older sisters, who were both sweet, playful, and so good at helping their little brother smile for the camera. What I love most about sessions like these is the chance to capture a family’s dynamic—the giggles, the hugs, and even the little in-between moments that show their love for one another. Those are the memories that truly shine through in Family Photos at Deep Cut Gardens.
We started our session near the iconic rose garden, which provided a stunning backdrop of flowers in bloom. The sisters twirled in their dresses, while their little brother did his best to keep up with them. Watching the kids interact so naturally gave me the perfect opportunity to capture candid, storytelling images. I always encourage families to play and enjoy their time together, because those genuine moments make for the most meaningful portraits.
From there, we explored some of the quieter paths and stone stairways. Deep Cut Gardens has such a variety of scenery—from bright flower beds to shaded wooded areas—that every corner feels like a new opportunity for creativity. Even on a cloudy day, the gardens felt alive, and the diffused light created a soft, timeless look in every shot. For me, this is one of the many reasons why I love creating Family Photos at Deep Cut Gardens.
One of my favorite parts of this session was capturing the Grazianos all together. While individual portraits of the kids are always special, there’s something magical about seeing an entire family close together in one frame. Whether it was the siblings holding hands or the parents cuddling their little ones, each moment highlighted the bond that makes their family unique.
As a photographer, my goal is to not only deliver beautiful images but also to make the session itself enjoyable. The Grazianos laughed, played, and had fun, and that energy translated into photographs that feel authentic and full of life. When families look back on their images, I want them to not just see how they looked, but also remember how they felt that day. That’s the heart of Family Photos at Deep Cut Gardens.
If you’ve been considering a family photography session, I highly recommend choosing a location that feels both beautiful and relaxed. Deep Cut Gardens is one of my favorite spots in Monmouth County for exactly that reason. It provides a peaceful setting, plenty of space for kids to run and play, and endless opportunities for memorable images.
At Delgado Studios, I take pride in crafting sessions that highlight the unique personalities and connections within each family. Whether it’s a sunny day, a cloudy afternoon, or even a golden sunset, my goal is always the same: to create images that you’ll treasure for years to come. For families like the Grazianos, Family Photos at Deep Cut Gardens are not just pictures—they’re lasting memories of love, laughter, and togetherness.
