North Jersey Sweet 16 Photographer | Leila's Party

On this evening, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Leila’s sweet 16 party at the amazing Acqua Catering and Events .  As a north Jersey sweet 16 photographer , photographing sweet 16s never gets old.  I photograph the party itself similar to the way I photograph a wedding reception for the most part.  These parties are always a ton of fun.  The kids really let loose, the the music is generally excellent. 

Now getting back to the event.  I started photographing the portraits in the getting ready suite, which was very photo friendly for a tight space.   We needed to make sure Leila could make her entrance properly, which means keeping her tucked away!  Once the party got going, we took some portraits on the balcony, which of course has a stunning view of the New York city skyline.  I make it a point to make portrait time go by very quick.  The last thing I want to do as a north jersey sweet 16 photographer it to take the birthday girl away from her party for too long.  This is a one shot deal for a young woman, I do not want to turn it into some long photoshoot.  I have the same mindset with my wedding couples.  The main goal is for them to have an amazing experience on this day.
