Galloping Hill Wedding Photos | Grace and John
Wedding Photos at Galloping Hill
(by Joseph Delgado, Founder & Lead Photographer at Delgado Studios)
When I think about some of the most memorable weddings I’ve captured, Grace and John’s celebration this past June definitely stands out. Their day at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, New Jersey was a perfect blend of emotion, elegance, and spontaneity—and despite a rainy start, it turned out to be one of my favorite weddings to photograph this season. The story behind their Galloping Hill Wedding Photos is one I’ll be sharing for years to come.
We started the day under gray skies, with light rain tapping the windows of the bridal suite. Grace was radiant and calm as she got ready with her bridesmaids, while John and his groomsmen kept things light and fun just a few rooms over. I always say that rainy wedding days bring a special kind of intimacy—and that was definitely the case here. The overcast light softened every portrait and brought a gentle, romantic tone to the indoor prep photos.
The original plan was to hold their ceremony outdoors, overlooking the lush greens of Galloping Hill. But Mother Nature had other ideas. By early afternoon, the rain picked up enough that Grace and John made the call to move their ceremony indoors. Fortunately, the indoor space at Galloping Hill is just as beautiful, with tall windows, elegant lighting, and enough room to capture every heartfelt moment. From Grace’s walk down the aisle to John’s emotional vows, their ceremony felt deeply personal and full of love.
Then, just as the ceremony ended, we caught a break in the weather—something every photographer silently hopes for on rainy days. The clouds parted just long enough for us to sneak outside for portraits, and we didn’t waste a second. With umbrellas in hand (just in case), we made our way to a stunning spot just beyond the venue, with views of the course stretching behind them. The light was perfect—soft, dreamy, and just the right amount of drama in the sky to create dynamic Galloping Hill Wedding Photos.
Grace and John were such troopers during the shoot, fully embracing the unpredictable weather. They laughed, held each other close, and genuinely soaked up every second. It’s in moments like those—when a couple is present, joyful, and trusting—that magic really happens through the lens.
As the sun began to set, we headed back inside for the reception, and let me tell you—this was one fun party. The ballroom at Galloping Hill was lit up with candles, string lights, and so much energy. From their epic first dance to heartfelt toasts and a packed dance floor all night long, the celebration was nonstop. I especially loved capturing their parents’ reactions throughout the evening—it was clear how much love surrounded Grace and John from all directions.
Looking back at the Wedding Photos at Galloping Hill, I’m reminded of why I love what I do. Even on days that don’t go exactly as planned, there’s always beauty to be found. Grace and John didn’t just roll with the changes—they embraced them. That spirit shines through in every frame.
If you’re considering a wedding at this venue, I can’t recommend it enough. Whether the skies are sunny or stormy, the grounds and indoor spaces offer stunning backdrops. And as you can see from Grace and John’s gallery, Galloping Hill Wedding Photos are filled with charm, personality, and emotion.
It was an absolute honor to be part of their day. To Grace and John—thank you for trusting me with your story. And to future couples—rain or shine, I’d love to help you create your own unforgettable Wedding Photos at Galloping Hill.
